Responding to Tehran’s claim that its boats did not confront a U.S. warship last week, the Pentagon has now released what it says is the entire episode Strait of Hormuz. Additionally, the Navy reported that another U.S. destroyer had fired warning shots at an Iranian boat last month.
The grainy, uneven video, shot from the bridge of the destroyer USS Hopper, is more than 30 minutes long. Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman said it was unedited. Tuesday the Navy released footage that was less than five minutes.
